Vendredi 4 et samedi 5 avril, le Centre national du livre organisait les 1ères Rencontres des organismes européens du livre, dans le cadre du Forum de Chaillot organisé par Aurélie Filippetti, ministre de la Culture et de la Communication.  À l’initiative de Vincent Monadé, président du Centre national du livre, ces deux jours de rencontres ont rassemblé plus de 150 participants et des représentants d’organismes du livre venus de 18 pays différents dans l’espace européen (Allemagne, Belgique, Bulgarie, Croatie, Espagne, Grèce, Italie, Islande, Lettonie, Lituanie, Pologne, Portugal, Roumanie, Royaume-Uni, Slovaquie, Slovénie et Suisse) autour, notamment, des questions de réglementation, de diffusion, de traduction, de lobbys.  Les organis ...

​By Dennis Abrams Writing for the Bangkok Post, Kong Rithdee reports that “bloggers and netizens are being tapped by traditional publishers dedicated to the noble goal of passing on the reading bug – while making a few baht in the process.” He cites the example of one video clip that went viral. It featured a mock interview with a Westerner talking about his first experience of being cursed at by Thai people. “Deftly using comical expletives and po-faced humour, the clip clocked up one million hits within 24 hours. Même si nos navigateurs français comme La Pérouse en 1788 et Baudin en 1801 ont laissé des noms français dans de nombreux lieux, l'Australie est un pays résolument anglophone et la vente de produits culturels français reste un marché d'initiés.
